How to choose a Personal Development workshop is for you
Personal development is big business these days, and you be spoiled for choice. This is exactly the problem that most people do not like too much choice, because they can not now how to choose what is right for them. Also smells of hard work to do with research.
The decision on the legal criteria for the selection criteria is critical, and obviously varies from individual to individual. The fact is that most shops and not disappoint the promise of the advertising slogans.
I have a lot of coaching, have a curative or other kind of personal development workshop and visit either disappointed or found that I no lasting benefit on which they had experience. I have not even people I can not be satisfied with the network or later connected to other uses.
So, I'm just a poor judge of workshops and seminars? I do not think so.The simple truth of the matter is that they do not offer many workshops, seminars, what I seek. After experience in this field workshops held, and top-class international tour, I know what it is, happy participants required. And my expectations are so high.
I let my mind begins with the venue. To this is very important because the quality of your environment has focused on a direct impact on your ability and take in the course material. If you locked in a dark room throughout the day or a few small stuffy room ambience should not be encouraged in any sense of purpose built hotel, you will soon tired and probably difficulties have permanently in the morning, let alone a day or more.
Unfortunately, too many seminars and workshops specially constructed rooms with all comfort in the use of full Disregard for principles of psychology.
Then there is the number of participants: If I attend a workshop, I will appeal and that is, I would like not in a position to simply hide in the anonymity of 50 or, God forbid, 100 plus participants. If I wanted to find a group consciousness that after Stonehenge, Wembley or a place like this would go. I expect all students get good enough to make me feel good, open and build rapport familiar with the group. It is good practice Challenges in the day and to grow as I do.
The delivery of the material is another sticky point. It seems two ways, either you have the Variety or a teacher, you will receive a course presenter speaks about the group delivers the material without the active participants. This has not only incredibly boring, and reminds me of my days in school, she discourages learning.
I also find it impossible to concentrate on longer deliveries without interaction. Occasionally I have seen Participants drop off to sleep. Yes, it happens.
If you are offered food in the breaks? The answer is probably no. I find this irritating and it is at all not conducive to the creation of good group dynamics. It creates unnecessary problems and delays in returning participants are late after the break, or at all not back. Rapport is broken and it takes a while to get back can not do that often, after lunch, is the momentum lost during the break in the afternoon and a waste ..
And of course notes, what? Some seminar and workshop presenters give no grades at all, according to some, of course, but most of the material Construction, while listening to music. Personally I think either way is acceptable, but more important is the long-term success of each workshop and seminar by a Material of good quality followed.
This could take the form of books are for sale, newsletter or even follow-up courses you can take part. Some organizers have meetings for the participants in bi-monthly intervals. I think this meeting is a good idea because they promote themselves with like-minded people and the Networking, that to keep you on your toes.
We all need time to integrate the new things we have learned, until we have enough that they work automatically practiced, we have soft, pleasant memories.
I'm sure you can see where I am with these comments and what the assessments in appearance. If in doubt, the organizer or moderator, an IM call and see if you have you with him or her the feeling of not dare to ask questions. in particular know itself, and what you want from the workshop.
Participation in a workshop is right for you to contribute a great pleasure and bring immense benefits once Imagine what you are.
